Yet another celebration.....

As you may remember this is birthday week, anniversary week, AND new church building celebration week......all this celebrating is making me joyfully tired!!! LOL......

Last night, the Mister and I went out on a date! Our children went together and gave us some tickets for Christmas......they gave us gift certificates to Carrabba's Italian Restaurant and to a local place called the Dessert Gallery (how can anything with Dessert AND Gallery in the name be bad)????? Also included in the gift package were two tickets to the theatre AND even a ticket for event parking! They thought of everything!
So last night we went out to eat here: ( I didn't notice until just now that there is a person trimming the greenery in the photo!!! but you get the idea!! )


After dinner we went to the theater downtown to see this! What a treat!! Our kids did good, don't you think????? And we're saving the Dessert Gallery for our next celebration, probably when we've had a SALAD for dinner!!! LOL

Birthdays are a time to evaluate, refresh, replenish, reflect........enlarge the pic if you can't read the fine print. Ahem, when you get older, large fonts are a joy in life, are they not????? :)
One nice thing about getting older is that the children are getting older and more like adult friends. My daughter and I had a girls night out for my birthday and it was so enjoyable. We shopped, we ate out, then went by the grocery store and chose our own dessert and picked up a few things she needed for her meeting today at school (happy Birthday Coach L!) .......she missed out on her Bible Study to be with me on her birthday...Isn't that so sweet??? It was a very good birthday! Thanks for all the birthday greetings! It's nice to be loved, no??????

It's birthday WEEK......

I suppose my post for Monday misled you to believe it was my actual birthday(yes, I really am the big 5-0!!)......truthfully TODAY is my birthday, but I'll be celebrating all week long!! Later in the week is our wedding anniversary and we'll be celebrating 28 years of marriage! Love you, honey!

It's a very busy week as our small church is finally about to move into our brand new home. We've been meeting in a high school for years. We are obviously excited. I've been helping my designer friend with all the last minute preparations, as well as heading up the committee to get our kitchen set up. It is fabulous! I'll try to get some pics to show. We did some art and decorative pieces yesterday as well as watching the grand piano delivered!!! OH, SO, FUN....... AND I got to see my little quint friends, too. What a fun day!
And I'll be looking forward to the day when I can use THIS picture to tell you how old I am!! :)
